Curriculum Vitae

Studies in physics with a focus on optics and digital image processing at the University of Munich and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Worked at the Chair of Applied Optics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences in the field of optical communication networks, graduating with a doctorate. Subsequently responsible for technology transfer in the field of microsystems technology at the institute for several years. Since 1993 at the University of Karlsruhe at the Institute for Information Processing Technology. Establishment and management of the microsystems technology and optics research area, collaboration in and management of several third-party funded projects. Author and co-author of numerous publications with a focus on optoelectronic sensors in medicine and technology, design methods and computer-aided tools for micro-optical systems and components.
