Context
Globally, more than 55 million people are affected by dementia, and this number is expected to rise to 139 million by 2050. This development poses a significant challenge to our healthcare system, as no cure for dementia currently exists.
Our research system, "METIS," offers an innovative solution with a web platform and smartphone app that enables doctors to comprehensively analyze patients' health conditions and develop targeted, personalized measures to address the challenges of dementia.
The system is complemented by AI-supported components such as biomarker data analysis and LLM-based chatbots. Additionally, smart devices like smartwatches or smart blood pressure monitors are planned to be integrated into the system. Processing and visualizing measurement data are central elements of the application.
