Research Assistant (f/m/d) in the field of "Systems Engineering"

SystemEngineeringITIV

The field of activity

We at the Institute for Information Processing Technology (ITIV) are constantly looking for committed and creative research assistants to whom we can offer the opportunity of a doctorate. In our publicly funded projects and bilateral collaborations, there are numerous opportunities to work with scientific and industrial partners from the automotive and medical industries in the fields of systems integration and applied research.

Our topics include automated driving, control-over-the-air, data-driven development and processes, methods and tools specifically for testing. In the extremely innovative field of medical technology, we are working on the development of the “intelligent operating room”. Automated driving and range optimization are also on the agenda for the future. We are increasingly focusing on safeguarding safety-critical functions in road traffic.

Another exciting topic is automated driving in public transport, e.g. in the form of the Minga research project (MINGA = Munich's automated local transport with ridepooling, solo bus and bus platoons), the aim of which is to create new services for more effective use of road space by developing an operational automated bus platoon and initial testing in real road traffic.

In this position, you will be part of the team of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Eric Sax, who will also supervise your scientific work.

Your tasks will include:

  • Working in a team, you will research and develop innovative approaches in the field of systems engineering.
