Gamification for lifestyle interventions
Context
A digital platform is to be developed that enables low-threshold access to individual planning and monitoring of treatments for lifestyle factors. Since changing lifestyle factors such as lack of exercise, poor diet or poor sleeping habits is often difficult to achieve, digital methods can be useful to strengthen so-called treatment adherence. Our goal is to support treatment processes through gamified pathways. In this context, we are looking for suitable candidates to collaborate in the design and development of a gamification approach to be integrated into a web and mobile-based platform.
Tasks
As part of your Master's thesis, you will be responsible for the conception and development of various aspects. In cooperation with experts and potential users, a suitable level of gamification must be found. During development, we need support in the following areas, in which everyone can contribute according to their strengths:
- You will work with a team of developers and experts to develop concepts for gamification and their user-friendly implementation.
- You will implement these concepts using the Flutter framework and integrate them as models into an existing web-based Angular platform.
- You will carry out user tests to evaluate the effectiveness of the concepts.
- You will document the design and development process in accordance with the relevant medical device development standards.
