Students develop robotic vehicles in block practical course
The circuit design laboratory at ITIV was also very popular in the current winter semester. In an intensive 3-week block practical course, the participants first learned the basics of basic electronic circuits. They then worked in several teams to design electronic circuits, assemble them into a functioning robotic vehicle, the Magni Silver, and test them.
In 2023, Florian Schade, Christian Maximilian Karle and Iris Fürst-Walter from Prof. Jürgen Becker's team won the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology's Faculty Teaching Award for the outstanding course "Laboratory Circuit Design".
In their feedback this year, the students praised the high level of practical relevance and the valuable experience they were able to gain for their further studies.
The lab will be held again next year. As the number of participants is limited, early registration is recommended. Places will be allocated via the campus portal via SignMeUp within the period specified there.
