Congratulations to Tobias Dörr on passing his doctoral examination!

On 09.09.2024, Tobias Dörr from Prof. Becker's team passed his doctoral examination with the highest distinction of "summa cum laude". The examination was supervised by Prof. Dr. Mario Trapp from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) as co-supervisor.

The dissertation entitled "Pattern-Based Logical Isolation for Safety-Critical Multicore Systems" deals with the complex challenge of using heterogeneous multicore processors in a safety-critical environment. In order to integrate safety-critical and other applications on the same chip, it is essential to isolate them robustly from one another.

The approach presented by Tobias Dörr combines a formal system model with code generators and a static analysis to achieve the isolation required in the specific use case.

We congratulate Tobias Dörr on this success and bid him farewell from ITIV with great regret. We wish him all the best for his professional and personal future. His outstanding work and commitment will remain in our fondest memories.
